The Texas Sake Company
October 1st, 2011
A few
months ago I was contacted by the ZDog himself...Billy Ray Manghan. It seems that there is a new sake compamy in
Texas and they were looking for some potters to enter an invitational show to be held in conjunction with the grand opening
of the Texas Sake Company in Austin Texas. I graciously accetped and then headed straight for the studio. Six
Texas potters were chosen for this honor...Linda Mosley, John Vela, Stan Irvin, Eric Jackson, Billy Ray Mnagham and myself.
There was also an open call for potters to submit sake sets for a second show. Voting for that show is done on the Texas
Sake site...check it out and VOTE! If you run into any of these folks be sure to give them a big congrats!!! Check
out the link to the Texas Sake Company and come out to see the pottery, hear some music and certainly...drink some sake.

Boerne Market
days
November 12 - 13, 2011
In downtown Boerne, this show offers a variety of venders. Everything
from food to antiques to pottery and clocks made out of old records. Yeah, that's right....clocks made from old records.
Candice and I will be sharing a booth this year. I'll have my signature wheel thrown mugs lathered with texture
and Candice will be unveiling her "Tick Tock Records". Candice does laser engraving and is always trying something
new. She is cutting all sorts of fun designs in these old records and then putting a clock movement in them. The
clocks are very cool and with twenty different designs, there is sure to be a clock for you. So, now you will know it's
time to have a cup of coffee in your new mug. Boerne Marked Days is saturday and sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. Come
see us in Boerne.
