6th Annual Sul Ross State University Ceramic Invitational

This exhibition was called "Friends of Friends".  Over the past five yeas of invitational exhibits here at Sul Ross there has come quite the list of potters and clay artists that have exhibited here.  I went through the list of names and chose eight potters.  Each of these potters were then contacted and asked to nominate a candidate for the exhibition.  The criteria for nomination was that the nominee had to be a friend first of all and you had to admire their work on a technical level.  The show was a great success.

Elmer Taylor nominated John Glick from Farmington Hills Michigan, Melody Ellis nominated Charity Davis-Woodard from Edwardsville Illinois, Stephanie Craig nominated Todd Leech from Strongsville Ohio, Steven Robison nominated McKenzie Smith from Dade City Florida, Pete Pinnell nominated Sean Scott from Battle Lake Minnesota, Jack Troy nominated Jake Johnson from State College Pennsylvania, James Watkins nominated Paul Andrew Wandless from Upland Pennsylvania and Gary Hatcher nominated Lesli Bruce from Forney Texas.
